French-born Laurent Ledru began his career in video game development before moving into feature film and commercials. After working as a Creative Director and VFX supervisor on big budget Hollywood films, Laurent brought his cinematic eye and love of high-concept action and adventure into his advertising work. As a commercial director, Laurent has successfully helmed complex, integrated live-action projects for some of the world’s leading brands including Honda, Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, Uber, BMW, Nike, and Under Armour.

He dislikes bragging about prizes, but he’ll do it here nonetheless. In his role as Creative Director Laurent was honored with a CLIO award, as well as several Visual Effects Society and AICP nominations. More recently, Laurent’s cinematic eye garnered him a Cannes Silver Lion and a Gold Pencil for Haagen Dazs “Opera” as well as D&AD awards and a LIA for Xbox’s “Fable III.” 

Although the only one in his family (and possibly the only living Frenchman) with no interest in soccer, Laurent directed ‘The Training’ for the Samsung Galaxy 11, which recorded over 50 million YouTube views during the 2014 World Cup. For the joy of his family and countrymen, and since working with some of the greatest soccer players of our time, he is proud to report a newfound appreciation for this sport.
